::The Year To Come::

You Will Keep Your New Year's Resolution

You planning on making a resolution that's smart, attainable, and perfect for where your life is.

This time of year is always hard - Christmas, New Year's & my birthday all in quick succession.
In fact, it's just under a month to get all three done & dusted.

I've managed (so far) to come through relatively unscathed this year.
Christmas was great - it was a new style family Christmas, but it WAS Christamssy & it was fun. Again - thanks to Courtney & Aki for letting me invade their lives.

New Year's was fun - drunken friends & even managed to get to the shrine. Or was it a temple?
The first few days of the year were a bit low. I was a bit sick & on my own for 3 days, which definitely didn't help. I really tried hard to keep the demons at bay, and mostly succeeded.

Luckily, though, The German came back in time to save me from slipping back down into the big dark hole of moping self-despair (and to be honest, what do i really have to mope about? Life IS good - if i were a friend of mine, I'd tell myself to pull myself together instead of sitting around home watching depressing movies...but anyway...)

And so - what are my resolutions for 2008?
I'm not really one for making resolutions. Basically because i know i have the willpower of a gnat, and will probably break them by my birthday. However, i have realised that i have been making kind of vague resolutions to myself.
2007 was a kind of 'love myself & enjoy life' resolution. And i think i did that. I travelled more, got out more, met more people & didn't just stick to the same old places, ie Blue Corn. (The irony of all that being the fact that i met The German at Blue Corn, but that's a whole different story...)
ANYWAY - 2007 was a good year.

So, 2008.
I think it will also be a good year & i have 2 vague-resolutions:
1. Save money (actually, that's not very vague at all...)
2. Embrace change & don't be afraid of it (looks like this year could well be a year of BIG changes - not going to write about them yet. Going to wait till things are clearer)

Just got to get through the birthday thing & then once again, i am done for the year.

OH - before i forget, you are all invited to Blue Corn for the January Girls & Boys Birthday celebration. Saturday 26th January from 7pm. Come along if you can.
